We’re looking for a software engineer to work on Najaxa Middle Office. The work is converting time to pay, bill, invoices, and margin. The number has to be right, and a controller has to be able to explain it.
Najaxa Middle Office sits between a staffing firm’s front office ATS or CRM and its back office payroll and ERP. Time comes in from the web, a phone, a VMS, a spreadsheet, or a photo of a paper card. Gross pay, the invoice, and margin come out. Your job is to make that work correct, visible, and fast.
A firm can give each brand its own portal and its own invoice. Conversion can pay one way and bill another, including overtime across placements. Imports and workflows bring hours in and send gross pay and the invoice on, on a schedule or when another system calls, inside the product. Pay, bill, and margin sit on one screen, and a number opens back to the timesheet, the export, and the invoice. You will work on that system. It is a .NET API and a Vue application, and it is already running live payroll and live invoices.
This role is in Fargo.
What you’ll do
- Design and ship features in a product that already calculates real gross pay and real invoices.
- Build the parts customers feel: a brand’s portal and invoice, a conversion rule, an import, a workflow, or the screen where pay, bill, and margin meet.
- Sit with a customer problem long enough to understand the rule.
- Write code that calculates the right number, and that another engineer can change in six months.
- Own the thing after it ships. The person who builds it is the person who answers when overtime didn’t convert, or the export still has last year’s rate.
What we’re looking for
- You’ve built production web applications and the services behind them. Language is less important than judgment. We work primarily in .NET.
- You can sit with a controller and draw why a number is the number.
- Everyone here ships and talks to customers.
On the job
- You work in Fargo.
- You ship on a live pay-and-bill system.
- You stay on the thing you built.
